My name is Anastasia Gladkova - NASKA and I am an artist.

Artist Statement

I work in the style of contemporary surrealism, exploring the fragility of human nature through childhood memories and their impact on adulthood. Our early experiences—joys, traumas, and relationships—shape who we become and continue to manifest in our actions and perceptions of the world.

In my work, I pay special attention to textures—whether light and airy or dense and heavy—to evoke tactile sensations. Every element in my paintings carries meaning: porcelain apples symbolize the fragility of nature, while eggs in a girl’s hands represent life. Through these images, I convey the delicate balance between vulnerability and inner strength.

Anastasia is an artist, art director, and designer based in Florida, USA. Originally from Russia, she comes from a family of artists and has been creating for as
long as she can remember.
Anastasia has a classical art education: she graduatedfrom an art school and then with honors from one of Russia’s top art colleges, where she studied graphic design. She also studied fashion design at the Moscow State Textile University, following in the footsteps of her mother, a costume designer. Over the years, she explored various creative paths — from launching an accessories brand and designing greeting cards to founding a successful branding agency.

Today, Anastasia focuses on her artistic practice, blending fine art, design, and visual storytelling. She creates oil paintings, mixed media collages, and interior decor pieces
that often explore themes of nostalgia, femininity, and surrealism. Her works are held in private collections across Russia, Europe, and the United States.
